Margaret 'peggy' Johnson

Margaret ?Peggy? (Boardman) Johnson, 89, of Wethersfield, wife of the late Howard M. Johnson, died Friday, October 30, 2009 at her home. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Harold E. and Hazel (Umba) Boardman and was a lifelong resident of Greater Hartford. Prior to her retirement she was employed by the Connecticut Bankers Association and was formerly employed by Connecticut Bank & Trust Co. During WW II she supported the war effort by working at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. She was devoted to Trinity Episcopal Church and dedicated herself to her family. She loved classical music and enjoyed studying art and music at local community colleges. She was a world traveler. She will be loved and missed by all who had the privilege to make her acquaintance. She is survived by many dear friends and neighbors. The funeral will be Tuesday, November 03, 2009 at 11 a.m. in Trinity Episcopal Church, 300 Main St. Wethersfield with the Reverend Scott Lee officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, Wethersfield, 06109.
