Maria Assunta Sparatore (Malta)

Maria Assunta (Malta) Sparatore, 86, of Wethersfield and formerly East Hartford, beloved wife of the late Antonino Sparatore, passed away on Friday (March 8, 2013). Born on October 22, 1926 in Montepaone, province of Catanzaro, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Anna (Riverso) Malta. Maria lived in East Hartford for over 40 years before moving to Wethersfield four years ago. She is survived by her daughter, Maria Lojko and her husband Jeffrey of Wethersfield; her two cherished grandchildren, Alexander and Alyssa Lojko; her sister, Savarina Cutruzzula in Italy and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Frank and her sister, Catarina.

Calling hours will be held Monday (March 11) from 5-7 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. Funeral services and burial in Mt.
