Marie Pappalardo

Marie Therese (DiBattista) Pappalardo, 97, of Newington, wife of the late Joseph Pappalardo, passed away at home peacefully on Friday January 6, 2017 with her loving family by her side. Born in Hartford on February 26, 1919 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Damato) DiBattista. Marie loved music, she enjoyed playing the piano and especially loved to dance. She was an expert in the kitchen and her culinary creations will truly be missed. Her true passion was her family, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, her kindness will never be forgotten. Marie is survived by her loving daughter Frances Pappalardo of Newington and her son Joseph and his wife Sylvia of Wethersfield as well as her grandson Richard Pappalardo and his wife Andrea of Wethersfield and great-grandchildren Olivia Grace and Paige Avery. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Marie was predeceased by her son James in 2008.

A graveside service will be on Thursday January 12, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Saint Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Road, Bloomfield, CT. (Section R).
