Marion 'terry' (vallera) Surdyka

Marion 'Terry' (Vallera) Surdyka, 82, of Wethersfield, passed away Friday (July 10, 2009) at her home. She was born June 26, 1927 in Hartford the daughter of the late John and Angeline (Piacente) Vallera. Terry was employed by the Institute of Living and the State of Connecticut before her retirement. She was a communicant of Corpus Christi Church in Wethersfield. Marion is survived by her daughter Jeannette Miele and her husband Frank of Carmel, NY; and her loving grandchildren and adoring, sweet great grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart. She is also survived by her sister and best friend, Lorraine Vallera of Rocky Hill; her brother Sam Vallera and his wife Jan of Windsor; her sister Angie Markham and her husband Bob of Marlborough; many nieces, nephews and lots of friends. Besides her parents and sister Jeanne, she joins her husband Anthony and sons Charles and John and loving companion Frank in Heaven. A memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday July 16 at 11 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, Wethersfield. Marion's family will receive relatives and friends Thursday from 8:30-10 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. Burial will be private.
