Marjorie Lois Walther Keach

Marjorie Lois Walther Keach, wife of the late Rev. Dr. Richard L. Keach, died on May 17, 2018. She was born in Roselle, NJ, to John D. and Helen, L. Walther on Nov. 4, 1924. After graduating from Westfield High School (NJ) in 1942 she attended Bates College in Lewiston, ME where she met her future husband. Over the years that Richard served Amer. Bapt. Churches in Newton Centre, MA, Rock Springs, WY, Waterville, ME, Wayne, PA and Hartford, CT. Marjorie raised four children, became a reading specialist, worked in real estate and was a 20 year volunteer at Hartford Hosp. She is survived by children Alison Shenkus (Rob), David Keach, Kathlyn Horner( Joel), and Rick Keach (Jackie), 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, and her brother Robert Walther. Besides her parents, Marjorie was predeceased by her brother, John D. Walther, Jr. and stepmother, Katherine Walther. Services will be private and Marjorie will be buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery on the banks of the Saco River near her beloved Ocean Park, ME. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield, CT.
