

Mary Ann (Golab) McCue, 66, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of John ""Skip"" McCue, passed away Saturday, (April 28, 2012). She was born January 25, 1946 in New Britain, daughter of the late Stanley and Meta (Bowden) Golab. Prior to her retirement, Mary was employed for 32 years as a Registered Nurse at St. Francis Hospital. She was a member of the Corpus Christi Women's Club. She enjoyed knitting, UConn basketball, the Red Sox, traveling to Cape Cod, antiques and gardening. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who kept her going and who she always looked forward to seeing. Including John, her husband of 44 years; Mary is survived by two sons, David and Thomas McCue, both of Wethersfield; two daughters Deborah Brown and her husband Matthew of Bolton and Maureen Allam and her husband Doug of North Smithfield, RI; a sister Frances Lynch of The Villages, FL; and three grandchildren, Aidan and Caitlin Brown and Kayla Allam.
Funeral services will leave Wednesday, May 2 at 9:15 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Hwy., Wethersfield. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Freedom Guide Dogs, 1210 Hardscrabble Rd., Cassville, NY 13318.
