Mary Elizabeth ""Betty"" (Rogers) Roby, 88, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of the late Marcel F. Roby, died peacefully on Monday, (January 22, 2007) with her family by her side. She was born in Hartford , daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Lyman) Rogers and had lived in the area all of her life. She was retired from the Travelers Insurance Company. Betty was a member of the South End Seniors. She is survived by two sons, Thomas M. Roby and his wife, Geraldine of Branford and Peter F. Roby of Marlborough, a daughter, Nancy Squillacote and her husband, Joseph of Wethersfield, eight grandchildren, Jeffrey Roby and his wife, Julie, Christian Roby, Andrew Roby, Joseph Squillacote, Jack Squillacote and his wife Kristen, Elizabeth Squillacote, Keith Roby and Aimee Lombard and her husband Asa and a great- granddaughter, Kaileigh Roby, and a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Roby of Madison. Betty was predeceased by her brother, William Rogers. Funeral services will be Thursday at 9 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd, Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Luke's Church, Hartford.
