

Natalina “Mary” DiPietro, 95, of Old Saybrook, beloved wife of the late Edward DiPietro, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 14, 2018 with her family by her side. Born in Hartford on December 25, 1922 she was the daughter of the late Paul and Lucia (Macca) Gigliuto. Natalina resided in Hartford and spent her retirement years in Old Saybrook and many happy winters in Florida with her beloved husband. Natalina was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend to all. She will be dearly missed by her daughter and best friend Vincenza Gordon, and her husband Albert, and also by her son Paul DiPietro and his wife Mary. She will also be missed by her grandsons and their spouses, Philip Ferrari and his wife Karen, Peter Ferrari and his wife Kimberly and Craig DiPietro. In addition, she leaves her beloved great grandchildren, Alexander, Ava, Ella, Nicholas and Kida Ferrari. She also leaves behind her one special sister, Vincenza Scotella, as well as cherished nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her beloved sisters, Concetta Fiore-Scalzo and Josephine Cassarino along with her brother Dominic Gigliuto. Natalina’s family would like to thank all of her caregivers for their care and compassion. A special thanks to her “Dancing Doll” Temi for her endless love and care. Also, many thanks to Hospice Care at Middlesex Hospital who are angels within themselves. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, July 19th from 9-11 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Memorial donations in Natalina’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
