

Natividad Lugo, 87, of Hartford, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at her home. Born in Guayama, Puerto Rico on September 17, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Lucas and Tomasa Moret Lugo. She loved to tell her stories of living in Puerto Rico as a child with her siblings. She welcomed everyone with an open heart, mind and soul.
As we honor our mother we will never forget our mother’s face, the sound of her voice, the gentleness of her touch. This is how our mother showed her love to all of us and “YES” we felt it and will continue to feel her spiritual presence all around us, in our hearts as we believe she will too in hers.
Natividad is survived by her four sons; Luis Antonio Aponte, Jorge L. Aponte and his wife Lillian, Luis A. Alers and his wife Wanda, and Jose A. Alers and two daughters, Edna M. Alers and Donaicis Alers. She also leaves eight siblings, Jose Antonio, Maria, Emilio, Margarite, Juan Vicente, Casilda, Pedro and Aida Lugo Moretand 8 grandsons, 2 great granddaughters and nieces and nephews.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday (May 26th) at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. A Prayer Service will be held at 6 p.m. in the funeral chapel.
