

Nicolé Marie Lucia Bonadies, 39, of Simsbury, passed away suddenly Tuesday (April 1, 2014). Nicolé was born in Hartford on May 17, 1974. She was a graduate of Simsbury High School, class of 1993, a 1998 graduate of Northeastern University, Boston and received her Master’s Degree from Northeastern in 2009. She was the associate registrar at the University of St. Joseph. Prior to that, she was the registrar at Sanford-Brown College in Farmington for four years. Nicolé enjoyed traveling, skiing, golfing and was an avid shopper who loved life to the fullest. She was a committed participant in the Felix DelGreco, Jr. Memorial Golf Tournament. She is survived by her mother, Karen Armstrong-Bonadies and her father, Gerald L. Bonadies and his fiancée, Margie McGill; her sister and best friend, Alexa DelGreco; Felix DelGreco, Sr., who thought of Nicolé as his daughter and her paternal grandmother, Eleanor (Laraia) Bonadies. She also leaves behind a great aunt, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of dear and close friends. She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Nicholas Bonadies; uncles, Charles and John Bonadies; her maternal grandparents, Donald Robert and Dorothy Ann Armstrong and great-grandmother, Janie E. Lewis.
Funeral services will be on Monday (April 7) at 12 noon at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours are Monday from 10 a.m.-12 noon at the funeral chapel prior to the service.
