Osiena D. Colantonio (Celli)

Osiena D. (Celli) Colantonio, 94, of Wethersfield, beloved wife for 49 years of the late Armando Colantonio, passed away peacefully on Thursday (October 24, 2013) at St. Mary Home, West Hartford with her loving family by her side. Born in Newton, MA on July 20, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Attilio and Maria (Palmeri) Celli. She worked as a seamstress for many years and had a passion for cooking. She also enjoyed gathering each week with her friends at the Wethersfield Senior Center, but nothing was more important to her than her family. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Osiena will be dearly missed by her three devoted sons, Sergio and his wife Mimma, Gastone ""Gus"" and his wife Holly, all of Wethersfield and Fulvio and his wife Susanne of Marlborough; five adored grandchildren, Eric, Jaclyn, Armando, Melinda and Angela; two cherished great-grandchildren, Emanuella and Grant, and her sister, Elda, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Eduardo and her sister, Sestina.

Funeral services will leave on Monday at 9:15 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Hwy., Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 3-6 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
