Patricia Darrell (Toce)

Patricia (Toce) Darrell, 82, of Hartford, beloved wife of the late George H. Darrell, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday (October 9, 2013) at Avery Heights. Born on December 21, 1930 in Hartford, she was the youngest daughter of the late Peter P. and Lucy (LaPenta) Toce. A loving mother and grandmother, she will be dearly missed by her four sons, daughters-in-law and the prides of her life, her grandchildren: George H. Darrell, Jr. and Michelle and their son, George C. of Manchester, Michael T. Darrell and Becky (Hawk) and their children, Dominic and McKenna of Bethlehem, PA, Robert S. Darrell and Cheryl of Bradenton, FL and her step-grandchildren, Kevin and Kristin and Richard S. Darrell and Jill (Jackson) and their children, Megan, RJ and Lauren of Wethersfield. She is also survived by her sister, Julie Mayeda and life long best friend, Brenda Stevens. In addition to her husband and parents, Patricia was predeceased by her brothers, Charles and Joseph Toce and her sister, Catherine Toce. A grateful and special thank you to Avery Heights and their extraordinary staff for the love, support, and mindful and tender care they provided to our mother.

Funeral services will be on Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 5-6:30 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
