Paula Scavetta Kennedy

Paula (Scavetta) Kennedy, 83, of Hartford and Ft. Lauderdale, FL, beloved wife of the late John Joseph Kennedy, Jr. and the late Leonard Courville, passed away on Wednesday (March 19, 2014). Born in Hartford on June 29, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Rocco and Mary (Castolucci) Scavetta. Paula was an assistant engineer in the Air Compliance division of the State of CT Department of Environmental Protection. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be dearly missed by her six sons, Joseph Kennedy and his wife Nellie of Maine, John J. Kennedy, III of Massachusetts, Bill Kennedy and his wife Virginia of California, Timothy Kennedy and his wife Wieslawa of Rocky Hill, Tom Kennedy of Maine and Bob Kennedy and his wife Zosia of Hartford; 17 adored grandchildren and six cherished great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Mike Scavetta of Windsor and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Tony, Frank and Jim and her sisters, Anne, Rose, Margaret and Florence.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday (March 27) at 7 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. Burial will be private.
