Ronald S. Vasquez

Ronald S. “Ron” Vasquez, 69, of Colchester, beloved husband for 40 years of Carol (Dziok) Vasquez, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 12, 2024. Born in Hartford on September 30, 1954, he was the son of the late Carmelo and Lillian (Camillieri) Vasquez. Ron graduated from South Catholic High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree from New Hampshire College. He retired as a fiscal manager with the State of CT Department of Corrections. Ron was a fourth degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. In his younger years, he was an avid water skier and he always enjoyed working outside in his backyard.

A loving husband, father and grandfather, Ron will be forever missed by his loving wife Carol; two sons, Paul Vasquez of West Hartford and Peter Vasquez and wife Sheri of Stratford and his two adored grandsons, Luca and James Vasquez. He is also survived by his sister, Connie Morin and husband Brian of Wethersfield and his dear aunt, Rose Camilliere, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family member and friends.

Funeral services will begin Monday, January 22 at 9 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church of Christ the King Parish, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield. Burial will be private. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron’s memory may be made to the ASPCA, P.O.
