Rosa DiGregorio

Rosa (Mangiafico) DiGregorio, 69, of Wethersfield, beloved wife for 45 years of Nino DiGregorio, passed away on Saturday, Feburary 27, 2016. She was born on March 2, 1946 in Siracusa, Sicily, Italy and was the daughter of the late Paolo and Emanuela (Infantino) Mangiafico. Rosa was a dedicated teacher for twenty seven years at Bulkeley High School in Hartford. She was a member of the Bulkeley High School Retiree Association and a member of the Italian Friendship Club. But her true passion in life was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her husband Nino, Rosa is survived by two sons Giampaolo DiGregorio and his wife Rachelle DeCoste of Mansfield, MA and Gianluca DiGregorio and his fiancée Andrea Caruso of Wethersfield; two brothers Luciano Mangiafico and his wife Carmela of Durham, NC, and Salvatore Mangiafico and Joan Hunt of Wethersfield; two beloved grandchildren Owen DiGregorio and Giulia DiGregorio and numerous nieces and nephews. Rosa was predeceased by a brother Vittorio Mangiafico. Funeral services will leave Wednesday, March 2nd at 9:15 a.m. from the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Augustine Church, 10 Campfield Avenue, Hartford. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4 to 7. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Rosa’s memory to the charity of your choice.
