
Rosanna D. Orsini, of Wethersfield, wife of the late Luke J. Orsini, died peacefully Friday (May 20, 2011) with her loving granddaughters by her side. Born in Hartford on March 17, 1926, daughter of the late Gaetano and Mary (Tozzi) D'Ambrosio, Rosanna lived in Wethersfield for most of her life. She was a graduate of Bulkeley High School. Rosanna worked for the Wethersfield Board of Education for more than 35 years. Early in her career, she worked for Royal Typewriter, the State of Connecticut at the Legislative Office Building, and Puritan Maid Bakery in Wethersfield. She was a communicant of the Church of the Incarnation and a past president of their Women's Club. She also was active in the Romulea Bisaccia Society. Rosanna was a strong, resilient woman, who displayed strong faith, and whose family was the most important thing in her life. Rosanna is survived by two cherished children, a daughter, LouAnn Siembab of Rocky Hill and a son Luke Orsini and his wife Kathleen of Marlborough; a brother, Gaetano D'Ambrosio of Hartford, four grandchildren, Lorrien McIlwain and her husband Kevin of Montville, Leanne Silva and her husband Alex of Rocky Hill, Laura Lindquist and her fiancé Steve Becker of Manchester, and Eric Lindquist and his wife Jennifer of South Glastonbury; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her husband and parents, Rosanna is predeceased by her son-in-law Michael Siembab, four brothers, Joseph, Samuel, Robert, and Richard D'Ambrosio and her dear sister Marie Pasternak. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Bimalin Lahiri, Chief of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and the many care givers at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center who compassionately cared for Rosanna over the years. The funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, May 25 at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect Street, Wethersfield, CT 06109. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church. The burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
