

Rose (Mudano) Picano, 100, formerly of Wethersfield, wife of the late Frank Picano, passed away peacefully, Friday, December 26, 2014. She was born May 5, 1914 in Floridia province of Siracusa, Italy and was the daughter of the late Concetto and Rose (Bottaro) Mudano. She was predeceased by her son, Edmund Picano, her brother, Anthony Mudano and her sister, Jennie DiMauro. She was a very loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Dorman and husband, Harvey of Old Lyme and Joan Wood and husband, Jim of Wethersfield, her daughter-in-law, Kathy Picano, her grandchildren, John and Daniel Picano and Rachel Mac Donald and husband, Craig all of Rocky Hill, Sandra Wood Byrne and husband, Alan of Wethersfield and Michael Wood and wife, Jen of Marlborough. She is also survived by her cherished great grandchildren, Ryan and Elie Byrne, Kyle and Marina Wood and Noah and Jenna MacDonald. Rose worked at Royal Typewriter for many years before retiring. She was a strong woman who made the best of everything life offered; above all she loved her family. Rest in Peace, Mom.
