

Salvatore F. Brunetti, 82, of Wethersfield, beloved husband for 58 years of Dolores E. (Stefano) Brunetti, passed away peacefully on Monday, (January 9, 2006) at Hartford Hospital. He was born June 12, 1923 in Hartford and was the son of the late Frank and Sadie (Bordonaro) Brunetti. Sal was a World War II, US Army-Air Force veteran. He retired from the US Postal Service after 29 years of loyal service as a mail carrier. He was a long-time communicant of the Church of the Incarnation and a member of the Incarnation Men's Club. Sal was a faithful member of the Wethersfield Chapter of UNICO National and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans as well as NARFE and NALC. He will be sadly missed by his family. Besides his loving wife, Dolores, he is survived by, and was the devoted father to, his son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Madeleine Brunetti of Rocky Hill and to his daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Kurt Wolf of Avon. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Marc Brunetti and his wife, Laurel of Newington, Liza Brunetti of Cromwell, Michael Perodeau, Jr. and Jonathan Perodeau both of Rocky Hill, sister Carmela Brunetti and sister and brother-in-law Lucy and Attilio Merlino, all of Newington, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jean Damato of Avon, Margaret Marek of Farmington, Tina Connolly, Delores Stefano, Nancy and Donald Abbate, all of Wethersfield, Mary Ensign and friend, Lawrence Plante of West Palm Beach, FL, Vera Brunetti of Windsor, Rosalie Brunetti of Westbrook, Josephine Brunetti, and Michael and Lois Stefano of Rocky Hill; neighbors, Mike and Josephine Orsini, Gwynne Gherard and her family, and also many loving nieces, nephews, and a host of dear and close friends. He was predeceased by brothers, Lucian, Sebastian and Carmen Brunetti, brothers-in-law, Nick Damato, Myles Connolly, Sr., Andrew Marek, Robert Ensign, Sr., John Stefano, sister-in-law, Rose Stefano and a beloved niece, Sarah Ann Privitera. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, Wethersfield. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, New Britain. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
