Samuel Louis Hannum, Jr., 78, of East Hartford, beloved husband for 56 years of Loretta (O’Meara) Hannum, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 13, 2015. Born in Danbury on October 14, 1936, he was the son of the late Samuel Louis Hannum, Sr. and Estelle (Rosenberger) Hannum. He was a talented lithographer and photographer who worked in the printing industry and wedding photography business for many years. Samuel loved gardening and reading, and he was an avid sports fan. A loving husband, father and grandfather, Samuel will be dearly missed by his loving wife Loretta; two daughters, Cheryl DePrest and her husband Bruce of Wethersfield and Kristin Hayes and her husband Chris of Dublin, OH; and three adored grandchildren, Shannon McGinnis and Connor and Devin Hayes. He was predeceased by his brother, Charles Hannum.
