

Sandra L. DeLucia, 65, of Newington, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, died Saturday, (January 7, 2006) at the Jefferson House, Newington, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous 10 year battle with cancer. Sandra was born in Poughkeepsie, NY, daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Arcari) DeLucia. Sandra was a graduate of Katherine Gibbs College and she spent more than four decades in the banking industry retiring in September 2005, from the Bank of America where she managed the Trust Department. She is survived by her beloved brother and sister-in-law, Alan and Pam DeLucia; five nieces all of California; her uncle Joseph Mercuri of Meriden; her uncle Jerry DeLucia and his wife Gloria of New Haven, and her many beloved cousins, especially Rosemary Arcari Wall and her husband Thomas of West Hartford, Dr. Ralph Arcari and his wife Ann of Unionville, Phyllis DiCioccio Guilmet and her husband Larry of Wethersfield, Vincent DiCioccio of Newington, Lynn Arcari Dinallo and her husband Gary of Wallingford, Christine Mercuri and her husband Jerry of Torrington, Camille Mercuri Wesneski and her husband Robert of Harwinton and Marion Mercuri Smith and her husband Randall of Torrington. Sandi's family wishes to extend its sincerest thanks to the staff of the Helen and Harry Gray Cancer Center, specifically Dr. Stacy Nerenstone, and also the staff of the Jefferson House, Newington. A memorial reception for the family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 11 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wall, 40 Greenhurst Road, West Hartford, at 12 noon.
