

Santina (Monaco) Giuliano, 92, of Old Saybrook, formerly of Newbury St., Hartford, beloved wife of the late Nevio L. Giuliano, died peacefully, Wednesday, November 4, 2015. She was born January 18, 1923 in Hartford and was the daughter of the late Santo and Giuseppa (Campisi) Monaco. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed. She is survived by her four children, John Giuliano and wife Linda of Ellington, David Giuliano and wife Laurel of Glastonbury, Paul J. Giuliano of Granby and Mary-Jo Giuliano of Wethersfield; adored grandchildren , John Giuliano, Jr., MD and wife Carrie, Sgt. Richard Giuliano, USMC and wife Samantha, Jessica Crane, Ashley Crane, Jill Bryant and husband Tim, Chris Shapard, David Shapard and wife Rebecca and their children, William Shapard, Jr. and Lyaquishè Sarosh and husband Rapheal and their children; cherished great-grandchildren, Lily and Max Giuliano and Ryder Giuliano and Logan Bryant, as well as many cousins and friends. She was sadly predeceased by a grandson, Matthew Giuliano. Special thanks to the caregivers, Kelly and LeeAnne from Compassionate Care and the Agency on Aging for the care, love and compassion shown to Santina and her family which allowed her to remain in her home.
Funeral service will be Monday (November 16) at 9:15 a.m. at the
D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield followed
by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Church,
10 Campfield Avenue, Hartford. The burial will be in Cedar Hill
Cemetery, Hartford. Calling hours are Sunday from 1-4 p.m. at the
funeral chapel. Donations in Santina’s memory may be made to
St. John’s Church, 161 Main Street, Old Saybrook, CT 06475.
