

Stanley A. Ignatowicz, 81 of Wethersfield, beloved husband of Leona (Jedziniak) Ignatowicz, died Monday, (September 5, 2005). He was born in Hartford, son of the late Thaddeus X. and Caroline (Karpinska) Ignatowicz and had lived in the area all of his life. He retired from Pratt & Whitney, Division of United Technologies after many years of service. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II and he was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and took great pride and joy in their 2004 World Series win. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening, the making of model airplanes and UCONN woman's basketball team. Besides his wife he leaves two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and George Dressel of Cumberland Center, ME, Janice and Daniel Daneault of East Lyme; and four grandchildren, Bridget and Samuel Dressel and Katherine and Alyssa Daneault. He was predeceased by a brother, Thaddeus; and a sister, Stephanie. Funeral services will be Friday, September 9th at 9:30 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd, Wethersfield with a Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. in Corpus Christi Church, Wethersfield.
