Teresa Mercado

Teresa Mercado, 62, of Wethersfield, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2020. Born in Anasco, Puerto Rico on November 22, 1958, she was the daughter of Maria Mercado Santana and the late Arcadio Santana. Teresa was a devoted mother of Freddy Roman and his wife Krista, Daniel Roman and his wife Penelope, and beloved grandmother of Camíla. She is also survived by long-time friend and father of her sons, Ramon Roman Echevarría. Sister of Maria Mercado Mendez, Iris Mercado Diaz, and Miguel, Juan A., Pedro, Luis, Gilberto, and Juan D. Mercado, Anibal Rivera, and the late Mario Mercado; she is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A woman who put everyone’s needs before her own, Teresa loved spending time with her family and was known as a caring and loyal friend to all who knew her. Teresa was a fabulous cook, enjoyed music, her church, and napping with her granddaughter.

Due to COVID restrictions, the calling hours and burial will be held privately on Monday, December 21.
