

Thomas J. Cavanaugh IV, 48, of Hartford, beloved son of Thomas J. Cavanaugh III and Pearl “Terry” (Truncali) Cavanaugh of Hartford, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday July 3, 2015. Thomas worked in the heating, ventilating and air conditioning trade. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, enjoying riding, working on, and everything about motorcycles. However Thomas’ greatest joy in life was spending time with his family and friends. Including his parents, Thomas is survived by two sisters, Lisa Marie Cavanaugh and her wife Angie Huber of Draper, Utah and Michele (Cavanaugh) Bixler and her husband Troy of Cromwell. He is also survived by two nephews James DiGiacomo of Hartford and William Groman of Rocky Hill. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Victor and Pauline (Augello) Truncali and his paternal grandparents Thomas J. Cavanaugh Jr. and Gertrude (Kent) Cavanaugh. A memorial mass will be held Saturday August 1st at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 10 Campfield Avenue, Hartford. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private.
