

Vincenza “Vinnie” (Montineri) DeLucco, 97, of Berlin and formerly Hartford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. Born on December 28, 1928 in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Emanuela (Scata) Montineri. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 57 years, John F. DeLucco. After she and John married, she spent her life raising her five children. A devout Catholic, Vinnie lived her life guided by faith, family, and kindness.
Vinnie enjoyed a full and active life. She bowled with the Foster Heights Women’s League for over 40 years and loved cheering on her children and grandchildren in their activities. She also enjoyed watching UConn basketball, tennis and horse racing and always looked forward to trips to the casino.
Above all, Vinnie was a special mom, Noni, aunt and friend to many. She had a heartfelt love of making others happy and was known for never forgetting a birthday, anniversary, or special occasion, faithfully sending cards with her thoughtful and personal messages.
Vinnie’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her five adored children: Deborah Breen and her partner Joseph Cuccia of Fairfield; Jay DeLucco and his wife Kathy of South Burlington, VT; Dominic DeLucco and his wife Maureen of East Hartford; Anthony DeLucco and his partner Susan Hanley of Burlington; and Angela DelCiampo and her husband Mark of Cromwell. She also leaves behind her cherished legacy of 10 grandchildren, Jessica Yauger and her husband Paul, Ryan Breen and his wife Amy, Ashley DeLucco, Tyler DeLucco and his wife Daniela, Christina Coco and her husband David, Dominic DeLucco, Chris DeLucco, Anthony DeLucco and his wife Nina, Marcus DelCiampo and Jaye Carnazza and her husband Salvatore; 14 great-grandchildren, Isabella, John, Taylor, Lauren, Massimo, Arianna, Alex, Olivia, Felicity, Anthony, Gianni, Mia, Capri and Ava; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Anne DeLucco. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to her devoted caregiver and dear friend, Bozena “Bee” Laskowska, for her compassion and loving care.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her granddaughter, Kristen Hanley; her brothers, Joseph Montineri and his wife Dorothy and Salvatore Montineri and his wife Lorraine and her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Joseph, Frank, Frances and Mary DeLucco.
Vinnie will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family, her generosity of spirit, and the love she so freely shared. She was the heart of her family and will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 20 at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine Church, 10 Campfield Avenue, Hartford. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield.
