

Wayne E. Harrington, 62, of Ellington, loving husband of Diane (Santoro) Harrington for 39 years, passed away on Tuesday (March 24, 2009). Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late James and Helen (Holtz) Harrington. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves during the Vietnam War. Wayne was a graduate of Wethersfield High School and received a B.S. and an M.B.A. from the University of Hartford. He spent his career working at Pratt and Whitney in East Hartford. Wayne enjoyed classic cars, spent many hours cleaning and maintaining his 1967 Corvette and won many trophies at car shows. Wayne's other enjoyment and constant companion was his dog Beamer. Besides his beloved wife Diane, Wayne is survived by three sons, Mark Harrington of Austin, TX, Paul Harrington of Windsor Locks and Peter Harrington and his wife Mindy of Hebron. Wayne also leaves behind a sister, Gail Harrington and a brother, James Harrington and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 28 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Church, 2577 Main Street, Glastonbury. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church. The burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury. Calling hours are TODAY from 4-8 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
