

William L. Beeson, 86, of Wethersfield, beloved husband for 50 years of the late Sheila (Kelly) Beeson, passed away peacefully, Saturday, April 19, 2025. Born in London, England on September 19, 1938, he was the son of the late Charles and Margaret (Crawford) Beeson. Bill served as a British seaman and worked on transatlantic ships Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth as a bartender and waiter. He also worked at various restaurants in Hartford and over 30 years at City Fish Market. Bill was a Brother and 50-year member of Hospitality Lodge No. 128, A.F. & A.M., Wethersfield, a Noble of Sphinx Temple of Newington, and active in its Legion of Honor, False Alarmers and Circus Associates. He enjoyed cooking and loved to travel with Sheila. Bill is survived by his two sons, Christopher Beeson and wife Mary, of Wethersfield, David Beeson and Zaira, his late wife, and grandson, Justin Beeson of Hopatcong, NJ. The Beeson family expresses their sincere gratitude to the staff at Avery Heights and McLean Hospice for their care of Bill.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 26 from 10-11 a.m. concluding with a Masonic Service at 11 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield.
