She was born on April 30, 1950 in Augusta County and was the daughter of William Cline of Fort Defiance and Betty Jean Wine of Mt. Sidney.
Dee lived her entire life in Augusta County, graduated from Fort Defiance High School in 1968, and received an Associate Degree from Blue Ridge Community College. Dee enjoyed employment at Western State Hospital for 42 years. She was a devoted mother and loving friend.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, John L. McManamay, and her daughter, Amy McManamay, of Alexandria.
She is also survived by her step-father, Stanley Wine, husband of Betty Jean; step-mother, Virginia Cline, wife of William; three siblings, Marla Chambers, Vickie Cline, and Dean Cline, and their spouses and families, all of Mt. Sidney; her sister-in-law Jane Byrd of Staunton and her family; a number of nieces and nephews; and numerous other close family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Grace McManamay; and a brother-in-law, Jack Byrd.
Honoring her request, she will be cremated and there will be no services.
