Mr. Donald Wayne Curry

He was born in Augusta County on September 25, 1943 and was the son of the late Charles E. and Ida Elizabeth Smallwood Curry.

Donald lived his entire life in Augusta County, and attended Weyers Cave High School. He was custodian for Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren for over 29 years and attended Mt. Sidney United Methodist Church. He loved hunting and fishing.

On June 15, 1963 he married, Betty L. Curry who survives.

Also surviving is a daughter, Vonda K. Shifflett of Weyers Cave, a grandson, Cody Wayne Shifflett of Harrisonburg, a number of nieces and nephews, and his best friend and fishing buddy, Robert Russell of Weyers Cave. He was preceded in death by a son, Kent Lee Curry and a brother, Cletus E. Curry and his wife, Janet L. Curry.

Mr. Curry will be cremated at Lindsey Funeral Homes and Crematory in Harrisonburg, and a memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren with Rev. Matthew Fike and Rev. Helen Zottoli officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
