Harry Wallace Hanger

A son of the late Emmett and Frances Lucille Clark Hanger, he was born on June 19, 1953 in Staunton. He was a lifelong resident of Augusta County and graduate of Ft. Defiance High School. Mr. Hanger worked in the grocery business and was a noted area musician. He was a member of the Mt. Sidney United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his best friend, Nancy Snead of Mt. Sidney, and her daughter Becky Snead of Staunton; three daughters, Angie Gregory and husband Josh, Jessica Stover and husband Philip; and Charity Nuckols and husband Mitch, all of Hico, WV; six grandchildren, Halie Morrison and Gavin Gregory, Jared Stover, Carter, Kaiden and Harlie Nuckols. He also leaves two brothers, Emmett Hanger and wife, Sharon of Mt. Solon, and Tommy Hanger and wife, Gayle of Staunton; one sister, Alice Williams and husband, Ross, of Natural Bridge; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Crump.

A graveside service will be held at eleven o’clock Wednesday morning in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery with the Rev. Helen M. Zottoli officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Tuesday evening at the Lindsey Weyers Cave Funeral Home.
