Marie Mae Cobb

She was born on February 28, 1931 in Cherry Grove, WV, and was the daughter of the late Emery J. Warner and Sallie Sponaugle.

Marie was a homemaker and attended Life Harvest Church in Verona.

On June 6, 2008 she married, Forrest M. Cobb, who survives.

She is also survived by five children, Clyde H. Zigler of Daytona, FL, Phyllis Shafer of Kissimmee, FL, Barbara Daniel of Apopka, FL, Harry W. Zigler of Lexington, SC, and Eric S. Cobb of Alexandria, VA; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Kitty Ball and Linda Cross of Elkins, WV, Ina Pitsenbarger of Monterey, VA, Emory “Buddy” Warner of Green Bank, WV, Kenneth, Steve, Gene, Ray Warner all of Marlinton, WV, Mary Tenney of Buchanan, WV, Bard Warner of Bluegrass, WV, Patricia Johnston of Arborvale, WV, Carl Sponaugle of Brandywine, WV, Ralph Sponaugle Knox, IN, Juanita Taylor Green Bank, WV, Myrtle Gravely, Washington, GA, Sylva Warner of Green Bank, WV; and an aunt, Annie Kisamore of Circleville, WV.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Roy “Butch” Warner and a sister, Jerlene Blosser.

The family will receive friends 3-5:00 pm, Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, July 5, 2015 in the Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Tedd Hott officiating. Burial will be at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Weyers Cave.
