Shirley Marlene (Lawhorn) Moran

Shirley Marlene Lawhorn Moran, 90, entered into eternal rest on December 2, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born with a gentle spirit and a heart devoted to others, Shirley lived a long, fulfilling life dedicated to her family, her faith, and her church community.

Shirley was a woman of quiet strength, unwavering love, and deep devotion. Her life’s greatest joy was caring for those she loved, and her kindness touched every person blessed enough to know her. She was a steady presence—a guiding light—whose warmth and faith shaped generations.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Lonnie Moran, her one brother, and her three sisters. Though she has been reunited with them in peace, her legacy continues through the family she cherished.

Shirley is survived by her two sons, Donald Moran and his wife Marybeth Moran, David Moran and his fiancée Jessica Koontz,

as well as her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, all of whom will carry forward her memory and the lessons she instilled—love, faith, and the importance of family.

Shirley’s life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Services will be held at Augusta Stone Church on Friday, December 12th, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
