Lorraine Muriel Jarvis Cromwell

Cromwell, Lorraine Muriel, 75, of Weymouth Falls, Digby Co. passed away March 8, 2011 in the Digby General Hospital. Born in Weymouth Falls, she was a daughter of the late Chester Sr. and Ida (Langford) Jarvis. Lorraine was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch # 67 Weymouth. She enjoyed being with her family, listening to music and was the oldest member of the Victory Singers Choir. She loved doing crossword puzzles and watching game shows.She was lovingly known as "Ma" by everyone.Surviving are daughters, Marcella Smith, Halifax; Debbie (Jay Robicheau) Cromwell, Weymouth Falls; Judy Cromwell, Halifax; Shelly Cromwell (Marilyn), BC.; Lana (Fernando) Jones, Chicago; sons Dempsey Cromwell and Blake Cromwell both of London , Ontario; sisters Rae Wynder, and Patricia (Roland) Clinton, both of New Jersey; brothers Gordon (Holly) Jarvis, PEI; Wayne (Gail) Jarvis Weymouth Falls; 8 grandchildren, including Adrienne and Judy who are her adopted daughters. 11 great- grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Lorraine was predeceased by her husband Norman, infant daughter Karen, sons Graham and Kevin, brother Chester, sister Gloria. Visitation will be 7-9pm Sunday from Jayne’s Funeral Home, Weymouth North. Funeral Service will be 11 am Monday from St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Weymouth Falls. Canon Kenneth Vaughn will officiate with burial in St. Matthew’s Anglican Cemetery, Weymouth Falls.
