

MARR, Theodore Alvin, passed away peacefully in Tideview Terrace, Digby, on October 17, 2021 just days shy of his 81st birthday. He was born in Hassett but later moved to New Tusket where he remained and raised his family. Alvin was a son of the late Albert and Garnetta (Mullen) Marr.
Alvin worked most of his life in construction, he drove trucks and front end loaders but mainly operated a dozer. He worked for B&G Lombard, Tidewater, Beaver Marine, Irving and Dexter Construction. Alvin had a mink farm with his son Terry for about 10 years. He was also a member of the New Tusket Baptist Church.
Alvin loved being outdoors, he enjoyed hunting, camping, cutting logs and firewood, going for walks with Verna or just driving around on his four wheeler. Music was also a big part of his life. With Verna by his side and guitar in hand, they spent many weekends singing and camping with their friends or enjoying Bluegrass festivals somewhere.
Alvin loved his family very much. He was a wonderful husband, dad and grandfather.
Alvin will be sadly missed by his four children, Ted (Linda) Marr, Terry (Karen) Marr, Tina (Gerry) Tidd, Tracey (Heidi) Marr; 9 grandchildren, Joey, Jeremy, Mikaela, Allison, Brandon, Phillip, MacKenzie, Melina, Emma; his 6 great grandchildren, Aiden, Kieran, Travis, Alice, Lucie, Lily; brothers, Walter (Vivian), Michael (Claudette); sisters, Rosemarie (Brian) Logan, Rosalie (John) Low, Deborah Marr and sister in law Cecile Marr.
Alvin was predeceased by his wife, Verna Marr (Nickerson); a sister, Marina and a brother, Wade.
The family would like to thank the staff of Tideview Terrace and Dr. Black for taking such wonderful care of him.
Visitation will take place on Oct 21st from 6-8, funeral service at 2pm on Oct 22nd all from the New Tusket Baptist Church, Rev. Tracey Marr presiding, burial to follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Following Public Health regulation proof of full vaccination or letter of exception for anyone 12 or older is required to attend the visitation and service, masks are required.
