Elizabeth “Betty” Coupel Nickens, 65, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2013. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Adam Nickens Sr.; four daughters, Paula Albert and boyfriend Timmy Guillot, Sandra Tharp and husband Walter, Patricia Nickens and boyfriend Shawn Barrett, and Jamie Bergeron and husband Ron; two sons, Adam Paul Nickens Jr. and wife Christi and Andy Nickens and wife Karen; 13 grandchildren; one great grandchild; Goddaughter, Kayla Coupel; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lena and Henry Landry and Mary and James Comeaux; brother, Walter Coupel Jr. and sister-in-law Debbie Landry Coupel.
Preceded death by her father, Walter Coupel Sr. and brother Ricky Coupel.
Family would like to thank Dr. Bienvenu and the staff of Our Lady of the Lake Hospital for their loving care of Betty.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Ourso Funeral Home in White Castle at 9:00 a.m. until Prayer Service at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow at St. Elizabeth Catholic Cemetery.
