When one finds a worthy wife, her value is far beyond pearls. Her husband entrusting his heart to her, has an unfailing prize. She brings him good and not evil all the days of her life. She is clothed with a strength, she laughs at the days to come, she opens her mouth in wisdom, her children rise up and praise her. “Many are the women of proven worth, but you have excelled them all. Proverbs 31.

A loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully at home on Thursday March 6, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in White Castle, LA and a was a lifelong resident of White Castle, LA. She was a graduate of White Castle High School and Marinello’s Beauty School in New Orleans. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends, along with her husband of 53 years at their camp and often hosted numerous charismatic prayer groups in their home.

She is survived by her loving husband Clive J. Landry, son; Lenes “ Moosie” Gomez and daughter-in-law Peggy W. Gomez, daughter; Ramona Gomez Perrin and son-in-law Dennis (Buff) Perrin, three granddaughters; Deidre G. Kirkland and husband Kevin Kirkland, Falyne Perrin, and Dr. Tyler Perrin-Bellelo and husband Bryan Bellelo, two great grandchildren; Jordan Alcorn and Joseph Kirkland, and one great great granddaughter; Ainsley Alcorn. Preceded in death by her parents; Lenes J. and Nelda H. Landry.

Visitation will be held Saturday March 8, 2014, 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in White Castle. Entombment will be in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum under the direction of Ourso Funeral Home, White Castle.

Pallbearers will be Lenes J. Gomez, Kevin Kirkland, Joseph Kirkland, Dennis Perrin, Bryan Bellelo, Cleve Landry, Camille “Pappy” Landry and Guy Hymel, Jr.

A special thank you to Michael Barbee and the Comfort Care Staff, Fannie Anderson, Charlene Hillery and Adrianne Morris, Dr. Gerard Falgoust and his staff, the pharmacy staff at Viallon Drug Store and to the “Breakfast Club” who were a continual support for her husband during this time.
