Michelle Landry Simoneaux

On Sunday March 20, 2016, Michelle Landry Simoneaux was lifted up by angels into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father. Michelle was an inspiration to everyone, for any and everything, whether it was work, illness or family. She was an amazing woman of character and the strongest person we knew. Michelle was loved by many, and always put others before herself. She took on cancer as her cross to bear and did it so bravely. She lived for her husband, children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 36 years Mark “Byrd” Simoneaux; son Tyler Simoneaux and fiancée Morgan Nordstrom; grandson, Cayden Becnel; daughter Abby LeBlanc and husband Todd; 2 grandchildren: Luke and Beau LeBlanc; sister Melanie Breaux and husband Lynn; brothers Gary Landry and wife Susan, Daryl “Bosco” Landry and wife Paulette, Brent Landry and wife Ruthie, and Gordon Landry and wife Donna; Jennifer Morales Landry; and numerous nieces and nephews. Michelle is preceded in death by her parents Alge Sr. and Jeannette Landry; brothers Alge Jr. and Todd Landry; and sister-in-law Judy Landry. Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in White Castle on Tuesday March 22, 2016 from 6:00p.m. until 9:00p.m. and continuing on Wednesday March 23, 2016 from 8:00a.m. until time of services at 11:00a.m. at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. Interment will follow in church mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Tyler Simoneaux, Todd LeBlanc, Gary Landry, Daryl “Bosco” Landry, Brent Landry, and Gordon Landry. Honorary pallbearers are Whitney Simoneaux and Cayden Becnel. The family would like to thank Dr. Patrick Stagg, Aileen Broussard, Janan Slay and all the very compassionate nurses for the care they gave our mother and St. Joseph Hospice and staff. Also, a very special thanks to Michelle’s guardian angel Ashley Alleman who was always there for her on this journey. But most of all, we thank God for the 58 wonderful years she was with us.
