Andrew J Gallo

Andrew J. Gallo, 80, of the Whiting section of Manchester Twp., passed away Sunday, July 31, 2016 at the Community Medical Center, Toms River. He was a Tape Librarian with the GAF Company in Wayne for 14 years before retiring in 1990. Prior to working at GAF he was a supervisor for Commercial Union Insurance Company in West Orange for 15 years.

He was a Congregant of the Community Reformed Church in Whiting, and served as a Member of the Church Choir, the Men’s Club, and served as a Church Shepherd. He was a Member of the Clifton F&A Masons Lodge #203 and a Member of the Eastern Star Pines Chapter #290 in Whiting and served as Worthy Patron. Formerly he served as a Worthy Patron of the Eastern Star Peace chapter #98 in Clifton. He was a Member of the Kiwanis Club of Crestwood and served on the Board of Directors. He was a Member of the Resident’s Club of Crestwood Village VII in Whiting and served as a volunteer at the Community Medical Center.

Born in Paterson, he resided in Ringwood for 2 years, W. Paterson for 3 years, and in Clifton for 19 years before moving to the Crestwood Village section of Whiting in 1990.

He is predeceased by his wife, the late Gloria J. nee Vereniero Gallo in March of this year.

Surviving is a niece Donna Marinaro of Woodland Park, NJ.

Friends may call on Monday, August 8 from 12-1pm at the Community Reformed Church, 30 Lacey Rd. Whiting, NJ 08759; with services beginning at 1pm. Committal will follow at the Whiting Memorial Park, 600 County Rd. 530 Whiting.
