

Doris Estoppey Tidroski, 95, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014, in Whiting, NJ. Dorie was born October 22, 1919, in Metuchen, NJ, where she lived for many years, working for Weston Instruments in Newark. She married Charles Tidroski on January 25, 1969, and the couple had many happy years together. The couple lived in Whiting, where Dorie had many friends and was active in the art and gardening communities. She made beautiful oil paintings but especially excelled in making pressed flower pictures from her own plants and flowers. Dorie leaves a stepson, Donald Kalbach (Joyce); grandchildren David Kalbach (Jessica), Janice Hulik (Joseph), and James Kalbach (Nathalie); great grandchildren Jacqueline Hulik and Jason Hulik; nieces and nephews Carol Estoppey, Nancy Estoppey (Tony), Joan Nagy (John); George Christopher, Midge Christopher, and Robert Christopher; Richard Winters (Diana) and Jill Peckelun (Ed); seven grandnieces and grandnephews, one great grandnephew, and one great grandniece. Dorie was predeceased by her parents Lilian and Robert Estoppey; husband Charles; brother Royden Estoppey (Mary); sisters Marjorie Christopher (George) and Ethel Winters (Richard); and her beloved cat Rusty. Her family will miss her humor and positive outlook on life. The family thanks Crestwood Manor in Whiting for the excellent care they gave to Dorie. There are no calling hours. A private service for the family will be held in the spring. Donations may be made in Dorie’s name to Penn Medicine at Rittenhouse, 1800 Lombard Street, Philadelphia, PA 19146. Her family asks that those who wish to remember her do so in the form of kindnesses to others.
