Elizabeth “Betty” Bunger died peacefully in her sleep on March 11 at the Pines at Whiting. She was born in New York City January 31, 1912, and moved to Union City , N.J. as a child. She began work with the Continental Insurance Co. in 1928 and worked there for 44 years before retiring in 1972. She married William Bunger in 1938 and lived in Jersey City before moving to Skyline Lakes and then Crestwood Village. She moved to The Pines at Whiting after her husband died in 1996, where she remained in good health and in good spirits until shortly before her death. Betty had no children. She is survived by her nephew, Henry Hubbard of Washington, DC, and seven grandnieces and nephews. Jeffrey, Stephen, Catherine, Caroline, Elisabeth, Wayne and Gail Hubbard.
