Florence R Mills

Florence R. Mills, 85, of Lakewood, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 9, 2012 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick surrounded by family. She was a secretary at Alcan Aluminum in Rahway for several years, retiring in 1981. She was an avid gardener and bingo player who loved spending time with her family, especially her children. Born in Jersey City, she resided in Carteret for many years, moving to Whiting in 1999. Florence is predeceased by her husband of 59 years, the late Walter G. Mills in December of 2011. She is survived by her children, Walter G Mills, Jr. & his wife Suzan of Toms River, Kevin T. Mills of Carteret, and a daughter Linda ‘Bunny’ Petsch & her husband Ken of Jacksonville, FL. Florence is also survived by her 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.There will be a Memorial Mass offered on Saturday, April 14, at 10am from St Joseph RC Church, Hooper Ave. Toms River.
