

Oliver Grenville Pasquarella, better known as Gren to all family and friends, of Whiting, NJ passed away on Tuesday November 28th, 2023. He was 92. Gren was born and raised in Westfield, NJ. Before moving to Whiting, NJ in 2000, Gren and his late wife, Loretta, lived in Lake Wynonah, PA. Gren was an Artillery Forward Observer in the US Army and he served his country during the Korean War. He later went on to owning his own milk route, was a manager at Hellen Elliot Candy, and finally retired as a Senior Plant Manager from Asher’s Candy Company. Gren was also highly involved within his community and was a long time member of The Community Reformed Church, where he served as a deacon and a chairperson on numerous committees. At his time of death, he was still representing numerous committees and remained chairperson of maintenance and grounds. He also devoted much of his time to The Whiting Food Pantry.
Gren is survived by his two sons, Kevin and wife Gina of Pipersville, PA, and Steve and wife Kelly of Allentown, PA. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Heather and husband Jon (Pinard), Niki and husband Kevin (McLaughlin), Greg, Sean and Kacey, and by two great granddaughters, Brielle (Pinard) and Harper (McLaughlin). Surviving also are a brother Richard, a sister Phyllis (Thieling), along with his nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 13th at The Community Reformed Church, 30 Lacey Rd. Whiting. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Community Reformed Church or Deborah Hospital. Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Rd. Whiting, NJ was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
