Harley Donald Giberson, 88, of the Whiting, NJ, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on August 13, 2016. He was born on March 19, 1928 in New Lisbon, NJ. Donald, as he was known, retired from Conrail after 44 years of service. He was a lifetime member and past Chief of the Whiting Volunteer Fire Co. He won a Blue Ribbon in the Ocean County Wood Chopping contest in 1954.
Donald was married to the love of his life, Edna Hurley Giberson, for 67 years. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Harley and Ella Mae Giberson, brothers, Wilfred & Robert Giberson and baby sister, Marie. He is survived by his wife, Edna; daughter, Lois Danieski and her husband Gary; grandson, Gary Danieski, Andrea Ravenelle and Lilly; and granddaughter, Lori Danieski-Bellotti and Michael.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, August 19, 2016 from 1-2pm at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Rd, Whiting, NJ. A Memorial Service will follow at 2pm at the funeral home.
