

Hartmut “Hart” Huebscher, 78, of Manchester, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 2, 2025 at his daughter’s home in Waretown, NJ. Hart was born in Tutzing, Germany and, along with his mother and two sisters, traveled on a banana boat (as he always has explained) to the United States in 1955.
Hart owned and operated Village Auto Repair in Whiting for 27 years and was also a proud member of the United States Marine Corps and served in the Vietnam War. In his free time, he enjoyed being a member of the Lakewood Maennerchor for 58 years, where he was involved as a singer in the choir and volunteered as the liquor agent & bartender for their events. He was also a life member of the Amvets Post 2 in Jackson, NJ. Hart also enjoyed the Diamond Room and Champagne Sunday’s Brunch in Atlantic City
with his immediate family members.
Hart was predeceased by Mary Ellen Huebscher, daughter, Ilisa De Oliveira, Edeltraud Torres, Sisters, John Szegedi step-father. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, JoAnn Huebscher; his daughter JoAnn Huebscher, also leaving behind three children Margaret, & Joseph Clark, and several close friends within the community.
The cremation ceremony will be private. On Friday, February 21, 2025 the burial of ashes will be at 3:30pm at Ocean County Memorial Park in Toms River NJ with a celebration of life at 4:30pm at the American
Legion Toms River NJ. Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Rd. Whiting, NJ is in charge
