We would like to express our sincere condolences to Mrs. Zinke's family. Mrs. Zinke was a great example of the Christian women that God wants all women to follow kind, humble, and a sweetheart. She was a great teacher at Euclid Baptist church. We were glad to meet her!!! Will keep you all in our prayers.

We want to express our condolences to Mrs. Helen Zinke's families and relatives, and our prayers are with them.  We also want to share some good memories with Mrs. Heln Zinke while she served the Lord in Japan.  She was a wonderful example as a servant to Christ.  Yoko spent many years with Mr. and Mrs. Zinke and learned many things from them.  Their faithful example meant a lot to her.  Yoko learned baking and cooking from Mrs. Zinke as well as about ministry.  She even inherited some cooking tools from her and is still using them.  We visited their home in NY twice, and both times Mrs. Zinke welcomed us with delicious meals.  We appreciate her example as Christ's servant and we want to continue in her footsteps.

To those of you who Knew Mrs. Zinke best, her children and grandchildren and other family and friends, 

   Please know that many people have been blessed by her.  Even those who didn't know her as well as you did.  I have for example.  May you be comforted and able to rejoice by your own memories and the memories of others.

   Mrs. Zinke grew a lovely garden next to her home in Satogaoka, Fukushima, Japan.  A church building was built on that lot after the Zinkes returned to America.  Lovely flowers grew in abundance around the church.  Neighborhood folks would sometimes stop to chat as we tended to the outdoor church maintenance.  It wasn't long before we realized that Mrs. Zinke was a bit of a legend.  Neighbors stopped to tell us about how she carried topsoil from construction sites to her garden.  (Homes there are built on mountains that are leveled off and thus have no topsoil.)  
   Mrs. Zinke's garden provides lovely church decorations.  There are also red raspberries and loquats.  One lady to whom the gospel was clearly presented sometimes road her bike from another neighborhood to help pick and enjoy the loquats when they were in season.  
   But, more important than her flowers and fruit of the garden around the  church are the flowers and fruit that still grow in hearts because Gilbert and Helen generously sowed the seed of God's Word.  After the earthquake and tsunami, damage to the building was repaired.  However, one member and his wife, who trusted Christ as Savior during the Zinke's ministry, moved from the area to try to protect their young children from nuclear radiation.   The five of them visit the church when in Satogaoka to see grandparents.  
   But there are other church members who stayed.  Pastor Koga, Lydia his wife, and their children Reimi and Seigo enjoy living in the ???????? house pictured in Mrs. Zinke's memorial video. Lydia has ministered to neighborhood children in the spacious kitchen that the Zinkes built.   May everyone who knew Mr. and Mrs. Zinke remember their love for the Lord Jesus and enjoy the Lord Himself each day.  May the Zinke family be blessed in every possible way because of His great love and righteousness. May each one be able to say, "Lord, I have loved the habitation of Thy house, and the place where thine honor dwelleth."  Ps. 26:8

It was our great privilege to know Mrs. Zinke and to have followed in both her and Brother Zinke's footsteps in Japan.  We know you grieve the passing of your dear loved one, but we rejoice with you in the knowledge she is safe in the arms of Jesus.  We look forward to the day we will see both Helen and Gil again when we all get to Heaven.

Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures that share a story of a life well lived.  I know Mrs. Zinke will be greatly missed. God bless your family.

Sharing sincerest condolences with you Beth, Chet and family.  I have many memories of my Aunt Helen and Uncle Gil from my early childhood ... I will cherish them ....  Grateful that those of us who have come to know our Savior as they did, will once again be reunited together on that great day.  Sending much thought, prayer, and deepest sympathy, as you go through this time from our family to yours.

Although our hearts are saddened by the end of the journey in this life for Aunt Helen, we rejoice in knowing that she is "Absent from the body and present with the Lord".  We know that she has not only joined her loved ones in Glory, but also the many lives that she has faithfully led to the Lord during her many years of serving Him.  We pray that the family members will each experience God's Strength, Peace, and Comfort.

Hi, everyone... as she is now safely with THE LORD, the VIEWING for Mom Zinke will be on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014, 7-9 pm at "Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home," 115 Lacey Road, Whiting, NJ 08759. 

The BURIAL will be on Thursday, October 16th, 11:30 am at Washington Crossing National Cemetery Complex, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, Pa. 18940, Pastor Bill Smith officiating.
