

Teresa W. Thurber, 88 years, passed in peace at home on May 10, 2015. Teresa was born in London, England on October 27, 1926. She came to the United States following WWII. She lived in New York City where she met and married Charles S. Thurber in 1949.
Teresa worked as an executive secretary for many years. She was a congregant of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Whiting, NJ. She was a member of the Altar Guild and the Order of St. Luke. One of her favorite activities was helping to plan the annual English Tea at St. Stephen’s.
Teresa’s most cherished role in life was being a mother, Nana, and great grandmother. She was happiest spending time with her family. Teresa will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles S. Thurber and son-in-law, Thomas Anno. She is survived by daughters, Debbie Hartman of Forked River, NJ and her companion Dave Sprenkle, Jaqueline Anno of Denver, CO, Leslie Kabbel of Tannersville, PA and son, David Thurber of Hillsborough, NC, her grandchildren Christopher Hartman and his wife Briege , Justin Kabbel, Cassandra Anno and her fiancé, Matthew Lieber, Coleman Anno, Josh Fowler, Hayes, Lewis, and Miles Thurber, and a great grandson, Colin Hartman.
A memorial service will be held on Sat., May 30 at 11:00 am at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 180 Rt 539, Whiting, NJ.
