Born in Hoboken, he lived in Columbus, NJ before moving to Whiting in 2009.
Prior to retiring in 1998, he was an Insurance Auditor for the Home Insurance Company for 25 years.
Mr. Murtha is predeceased by his wife Rosalie De Brango Murtha who died in 2011.
Surviving are 2 sons: Thomas of Mahwah and James and his wife Alisa of NY. A daughter Patricia Phlugh of Lakeville, MN. Also by 2 grandchildren: Robert & Kara.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:15 - 10:15 am at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home 115 Lacey Road, Whiting.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday 10:45 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Burial will follow at Holy Assumption Cemetery, Roebling, NJ
