Barbara Sestak

Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Friday August 11, 2023 at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 10 AM Saturday August 12, 2023 at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Chapel in Wichita Falls, TX.

Mrs. Sestak was born February 26, 1945 in Denver, Colorado. Her parents were Harry Earl House, Jr. and Doris Nevin (Clark) House. She married Edwin Sestak on November 4, 1972.

Barbara attended Old High and then transferred to Rider High school where she graduated in 1963. She then went on and attended MSU and Draughon’s Business College. She worked for an attorney during this time while going to school. Soon after she would start working at the city of Wichita Falls where she would become the auditorium service manager. She then went on to work for the Science Resource Center and also as an ecology guide for WFISD. During the time that her children were in school she also volunteered at Jefferson, McNeil, and Rider High School. Mrs. Sestak attended Faith Baptist Church bible study, was a member of Alpha Phi, and the Ya-Ya Sisters.

Survivors include her beloved family: husband, Edwin Sestak; her children, daughter, LyDora Kaye Sestak Martin and husband Chris, and daughter, Donnetta Kaye Sestak Gampher and husband David; son-in-law Alex Moreira; grandchildren, Schyler Sestak, Tyler Fulks, Crystal Sestak, Chris Martin, Jr, Adeline Gampher, Amanda Walters, Cody Walters, Chris Gampher, Kaylex Moreira; great grandchildren, Legion Vaughan, and soon to be Wyatt Walters.

Preceded in death by Daughter, Charinda Kaye Sestak Moreira: parents Harry and Doris House; in-laws, Lydia and Tony Sestak.
