Barbara Parsons Teel was born in Hobart, Oklahoma on June 30, 1948 to Rev. T.O. and Naomia Parsons. Barbara passed away, and went to Heaven to be with Jesus on December 14, 2020.
Barbara graduated in 1966 from Altus High School in Altus, Oklahoma. Barbara had her first date with Moses H. “Bud” Teel at an A&W Root Beer in Altus, and shortly after, married her sweetheart on January 14, 1967. For the majority of her career, Barbara served in Texas Public School Systems. In 1976 she began working as a Bookkeeper at Iowa Park Consolidated Independent School District. After working at Iowa Park, she moved on to become the Business Manager at Holliday Independent School District. Barbara enjoyed serving in her local church in many different capacities. She attended Martha Road Baptist Church in Altus, Oklahoma. She loved and served Jesus daily by loving those around her to the fullest.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Barbara is survived by her husband of fifty three years and eleven months, Moses H. “Bud” Teel. Her son, John Teel and wife, Moneita of Dallas, Texas. Her daughter Jennifer Lee and husband Chad of Altus, Oklahoma. Her five grandchildren, Chandler Teel and wife Amber of Dallas, Texas; Mallorie Teel of Lubbock, Texas; Madison Teel of Dallas Texas; Jedidiah and Jackson Lee of Altus, Oklahoma. Her two great grandsons, Sawyer and River Teel, of Dallas Texas. She is also survived by her sister, Linda Little of Wichita Falls, Texas.
A memorial service is scheduled for 3 pm on December 18, 2020 at Martha Road Baptist Church in Altus, Oklahoma. Visitation with the family will take place on December 20, 2020 from 6-8 pm at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home in Wichita Falls, Texas. The Funeral will be at 10 am at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home in Wichita Falls, Texas on December 21, 2020. Her burial will be kept private for her family.
