Betty Constance Murray

Betty C. Murray, 80, of Wichita Falls passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2013. A graveside service has been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 8 at Crestview Memorial Park in the Garden of Faith.

Betty was born March 24, 1933 in Briceville, Tennessee to Doc A. and Edra (McCoy) Taylor. In 1954 she married Willie Gene Murray in Clinton, TN and together they raised one son. She was a Baptist by faith, joining the Baptist Church in the different places she lived. She was a member of the Senior Zone. Betty loved to sew, making clothes and blankets for her family. She was a good cook and an abundant cook, always having more than enough for everyone. She looked forward to her annual trip to Tennessee at Christmas to see her family where there was always a huge get-together from many states.

Mrs. Murray is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willie Murray in 1991; parents, Dock and Edra Taylor; and sister, Joyce Martin.

Survivors include her devoted son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Sherri Murray of Bryan, TX; six sisters, Violet Harmon and husband William of Jacksboro, TN, Shirley Hansard of Toledo, OH, Sondra Davis and husband Wilson of Lake City, TN, Dollie Lykins of Briceville, TN, Marilyn Dunbar of OH, Ginger Turnbil of Clinton, TN; brother, Eric Jerry Taylor of OH; five grandchildren, Eric Murray, Crystal Murray, Roxanne Garcia, Gene Murray Jr, Elijah Murray; and seven great-grandchildren.
